Angela Douglas is a documentary photographer based out of Norfolk, Virginia. She strives to capture the beauty of the “in between” moments in life. Her images range from industrial, to commercial, to portraits, with anything and everything in between. She believes that life is full of hidden beauty, and through her photography she asks us to pay closer attention to those important behind the scenes moments in our everyday life.
Douglas’s wide range of subjects is followed through every generation. From childhood, to moving away to college, all the way to retirement, she captures those brief, beautiful moments along the way. Throughout life every person experiences so many breathtaking, heart throbbing, and tear jerking moments that have a lasting impact on them, whether they fully realize it or not. Since we experience so much in life, it’s hard to remember each moment exactly how it happened. Angela Douglas strives to capture the emotions and the story of a specific point in time, that way it can be properly remembered and shared for generations to come.
